Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand Bracing for Snowfall and Rain.

A Western Disturbance, currently positioned as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu and adjoining North Pakistan, is expected to bring isolated light rainfall and snowfall to the Western Himalayan Region today. Meanwhile, another Western Disturbance, which originated over South Iran, has now shifted to southeast Iran and adjoining Afghanistan. As a result, light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are anticipated over the Western Himalayan Region for the next two days, with light rain likely in the adjoining plains of Northwest India. Additionally, a fresh Western Disturbance is set to impact Northwest India on Saturday, bringing isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over the Western Himalayan Region. Minimum temperatures over the Western Himalayan Region are expected to remain steady for the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual rise of 2-3°C over the subsequent three days. In the plains of Northwest India, a similar increase of 2-3°C is likely over the next 3-4 days. Maharashtra will also see a gradual rise of 2-3°C in minimum temperatures over the next two days, with no significant changes afterward. In West India, temperatures will remain unchanged for the next 24 hours before dropping by 2-3°C over the following three days. Meanwhile, Central India will experience stable minimum temperatures for the next two days, followed by a decrease of 2-3°C. Dense fog is expected to persist during the night and early morning hours in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, and Meghalaya over the next 1-2 days.
