Snowfall and Rain to Drench Northwest India, While Dense Fog Engulfs Northeast.

A Western Disturbance, observed as a cyclonic circulation over West Afghanistan and its surrounding areas, is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, over the Western Himalayan region for the next two days. Additionally, light rainfall is likely over the adjoining plains of Northwest India during this period. The effect of this western disturbance will remain in the plains from tonight to late tomorrow night. Its maximum impact will be in north-eastern Punjab, eastern Haryana, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh, south-eastern areas of Rajasthan and north Madhya Pradesh. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact Northwest India, bringing light rainfall and snowfall to the Western Himalayan region towards the end of this week. Dense fog conditions very likely to continue to prevail during night and early morning hours in isolated pockets of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha for next 1-2 days. Minimum temperatures range between 6-13°C in some parts of the plains of Northwest India and 13-20°C across Central, East, and West India.
