Coldwave to grip Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

A cyclonic circulation persists over north Bangladesh and its surrounding areas, while another cyclonic circulation is present over northeast Assam and its vicinity. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is likely over Arunachal Pradesh and northeast Assam during the next two days. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Western Himalayan Region after two days, bringing light rain and snowfall during that period. Meanwhile, dry and cold northwesterly winds are blowing over the northwest, northern, and central parts of the country. Cold wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh and northern Rajasthan. Dense fog is expected during the early morning hours in isolated pockets of Odisha and Himachal Pradesh. Minimum temperatures dropped by 1-4°C in some parts of northwest, central, and west India, while they rose by 1-4°C in parts of east and south peninsular India, as well as at isolated locations in northeast India and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Maximum temperatures ranged between 34-38°C in many parts of southeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and western Odisha.
