Isolated Rains to Impact Assam, West Bengal and Arunachal Pradesh.
A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam & neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, Light to moderate rainfall with snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is expected to continue over Arunachal Pradesh for the next two days. Light rainfall is also likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim. Strong surface winds ranging from 10-15 kmph, with gusts up to 25 kmph, are likely to prevail over North India, including Delhi, today. Minimum Temperature: Minimum temperatures over the Western Himalayan region are expected to remain largely unchanged for the next 3 days, followed by a gradual rise of 1-2°C over the subsequent 2 days. Northwest India may witness a drop in minimum temperatures by 1-2°C, while East India is likely to experience a fall of 3-4°C over the next 2 days, with both regions seeing a gradual rise of 2-3°C during the following 3 days. In Central India, minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 1-3°C over the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual rise of 2-4°C over the next 4 days. West India will see no significant change in minimum temperatures for the next 3 days, with a rise of 2-3°C in the subsequent 2 days. Maximum temperature: Maximum temperatures are likely to gradually fall by 1-2°C over most of Northwest India, except Uttar Pradesh, where a drop of 2-4°C is expected over the next 2 days, followed by a gradual rise of 2-3°C thereafter. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over West, Central, and East India for the next 2-3 days, with a gradual rise of 2-3°C afterward.
