Wheat Report
The demand for wheat has increased, leading to a rise in prices. Under the Open Market Sale Scheme, the government increased the wheat sale tender from 1.5 lakh tons to 5 lakh tons across the country last month, which caused the price of mill-quality wheat to drop to 3020/3025 rupees per quintal. However, due to increased consumption in Prayagraj, the prices in UP's markets have risen, and wheat is now being sold at 3260/3270 rupees per quintal. With the tender price ranging between 2800 and 3000 rupees per quintal, stockists are not selling their stock. Considering this, the market is likely to rise further as the new harvest is still some time away.
