Rice Report
We believe that both domestic and export demand for rice has not been favorable, leading to a gradual slowdown in the market. However, rice millers and packaging manufacturers say that the production cost has increased due to this season's paddy, which is why 1401 sela rice, which was earlier priced at 6900 rupees, is now available at 5600/5700 rupees per quintal. These are very low prices, and there is significant potential for profit in the future. This is why, despite weak demand, 1509 rice is not available for less than 5250/5300 rupees. The supply of 1121 paddy is also limited this season, and now the supply of 1718 paddy is also decreasing. Therefore, there is an expectation of price increases in the future.
