Light Rain and Drizzle Expected Across North India Due to Western Disturbance.

A Western Disturbance, observed as a trough in the middle tropospheric westerlies, extends approximately along a longitudinal axis. Additionally, an induced cyclonic circulation is present over West Rajasthan at the lower tropospheric level. This disturbance will bring light rain and drizzle activities in some parts of western Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, western Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh. The weather will be clear in the lower hilly areas of Himachal and Uttarakhand. Light rain may occur in the upper hilly areas but there is no possibility of heavy rain or snowfall. Some parts of Punjab and Haryana will remain cloudy. There is no significant possibility of rain. But there may be drizzle at some places in south-western Haryana. There will be no major change in temperature, but the weather will remain cool due to cloudiness. Delhi will experience variable weather with a partly cloudy sky, and cloud movement will persist across the city and surrounding areas. However, the chances of rain remain minimal. Similarly, Uttar Pradesh will have mostly clear to partly cloudy conditions, with no likelihood of rainfall. Light rain or drizzle is likely in the northern districts of Madhya Pradesh under cloudy skies, while the rest of the state will see partly cloudy conditions with no expected rainfall. A new western disturbance is coming towards North India. Which will arrive with light rain. This western disturbance can bring light rain and hailstorm along with heavy rain in some parts of Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. Hailstorm can occur especially in those areas where heavy rain is expected. We will give information about it later. After this, another weak western disturbance may come on February 22, which may cause light rain or drizzle in the plains. However, this system will not be that effective and there will not be much rain, but there will be chances of light rain or drizzle. A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam in lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, Arunachal Pradesh is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over the next four days, with a heavy spell anticipated from tomorrow. Light rainfall is expected across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim over the next six days.
