Bajra Report
There is currently weak demand in the bajra (pearl millet) market, as maize prices are significantly lower, leading consuming industries to avoid purchasing bajra. The price gap between maize and bajra has widened considerably. Additionally, there's a liquidity crunch in the market, prompting consuming industries to opt for cheaper commodities. Even though only about 50% of the expected summer bajra crop has come in this season, prices have still not seen an upward trend. The bajra being sold at ₹2425–₹2450 per quintal (ex-mill price) is considered reasonably priced, and sources believe there is little to no room for further decline in these rates.
