Procurement of Soybean, Moong, and Urad at MSP Begins in Maharashtra; Farmer Registration Opens

The Maharashtra government has decided to extend the deadline for the ongoing digital survey in the state. This decision comes as the registration process under the digital survey has been progressing slowly. The Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for key crops such as soybean, moong, and urad have been increased this year. The registration process for procurement began on October 30, while registration for cotton procurement started earlier on September 1, 2025, through the Cotton Farmers App. Farmers can register either through the app or directly at procurement centers. The entire MSP amount will be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts. The government has now extended the deadline for the digital survey to November 30. For this season, the government has set procurement targets of 3.30 lakh quintals of moong, 32.56 lakh quintals of urad, and 18.50 lakh metric tonnes of soybean. Last year, Maharashtra achieved a record procurement of 11.21 lakh metric tonnes of soybean.
