Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning & squally winds (50-60 kmph) are also very likely over Gangetic West Bengal during the next two days. Scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) may prevail over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha and Chhattisgarh during the next 4-5 days. A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam and another cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Bihar. Strong South-westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal to Northeast India are very likely to prevail, which will bring light to moderate rainfall accompanied with gusty winds over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for next 7 days. Another cyclonic circulation lies over Marathwada and a trough runs from Marathawada to south Tamil Nadu which will bring light to moderate rains over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Telangana during the next 5-6 days. Adding to the existing system in the Northern region, another fresh western disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India in 2-3 days, which is likely to bring light to moderate rainfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh after 3 days and is likely to last for 2-3 days. Light to moderate rainfall is also possible over Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh between May 9 and 11. Also strong surface winds (25-35 kmph) are very likely to prevail over Uttar Pradesh during the next 5 days.
