On Monday, India authorized the export of 14,000 tons of non-basmati white rice to Mauritius, as stated in a notification by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). While the export of non-basmati white rice has been prohibited since July 20, 2023, exceptions are made for specific countries upon government permission to fulfill their food security requirements upon request.
