Weather Update
The Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards. It is very likely to continue to move north-northwestwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it will continue to move north-northwestwards towards Tamil Nadu coast skirting Sri Lanka coast during subsequent 2 days. Moderate rainfall, accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms, is expected over Tamil Nadu, south Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, while coastal Tamil Nadu is expected to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. A fresh Western disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from upcoming next 2 days. Light to moderate rainfall is expected over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the next 2-3 days. Dense fog is expected in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Tripura and Chandigarh over the next 3-4 days. Additionally, isolated areas across North India are expected to experience shallow to moderate fog during the late night and early morning hours for the rest of the week. No significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over the Western Himalayan region during the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual drop of 2-3°C. Similarly, Central India is likely to experience stable minimum temperatures over the next three days, with a subsequent decline of 2-3°C. In Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha, minimum temperatures are expected to remain unchanged for the next three days before falling by 3-4°C. For the rest of the country, no notable changes in minimum temperatures are anticipated over the next five days.
