Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Coastal Karnataka Brace for Heavy Rains.
The Depression which is the remnant of cyclone Fengal, over north coastal Tamil Nadu & Puducherry moved nearly westwards and weakened into a Well Marked Low Pressure over North Interior Tamil Nadu. Moderate to heavy rain is possible over Kerala, coastal Karnataka, parts of Tamil Nadu and South interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain may occur over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. The Western disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies now runs roughly. Light rain and snowfall are possible Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. There will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over Northwest and East India during the next five days. However, Central India is expected to experience a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next three days, followed by stability. In contrast, West India will see a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C during the next three days, with no significant change expected thereafter.
