Western Disturbance to Bring Rainfall and Snowfall in Northern India.
The Western Disturbance seen as a cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan & neighbourhood It is very likely to cause Light to moderate rainfall to snowfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning likely over Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 2 days. The low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the east Equatorial Indian Ocean, along with associated cyclonic circulation, persists and is likely to move west-northwestwards and become more pronounced within the next 24 hours. It is expected to continue this movement and reach the southwest Bay of Bengal, off the Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu coasts, by around 11th December. Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall with heavy spells over the next 2-3 days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and South Interior Karnataka will likely encounter similar weather conditions after three days. The induced cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and adjacent Rajasthan continues. Additionally, there is a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Assam and its neighboring areas. Subtropical westerly Jet Stream with core winds of the order upto 140 knots at 12.6 km above mean sea level continue to prevail over Northwest India. No significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over Northwest India (except Rajasthan) during the next 2 days, with a gradual fall of 2-3℃ thereafter. Rajasthan will likely see a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ over the next 3 days, with no significant change afterward. Central India is expected to have no significant change in minimum temperatures during the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual fall of 2-3℃ thereafter. East India will likely experience a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ over the next 2 days, then a gradual fall of 2-4℃ during the subsequent 3-4 days. West India is expected to see a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4℃ over the next 3 days, with no significant change afterward.
