Maize Report
The production of maize in the major states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan has increased this Kharif season. Despite this, there is a shortage in the markets due to a 30% rise in consumption by ethanol companies. The reality is that the stock of maize in Bihars mandis has already been sold out. In Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, maize arrivals have been steadily increasing, and the produce from these regions is now being sold in Haryana and Punjab at ₹2650 to ₹2680 per quintal, with a moisture content of 13-14%. In the producer mandis, the price of maize is ₹2325 to ₹2350 per quintal, depending on the moisture content. As a result, there is no room for a downturn, and it is advisable to continue purchasing maize from Madhya Pradesh at the current rates.
