Increase in Chana Prices Due to Improved Demand
Today, an improvement in chickpea prices was observed, mainly due to weak selling at lower prices and an improvement in demand. However, the demand for chickpea dal and besan remains limited, which is preventing full support for the rising chickpea prices. In Delhi, there was no significant change in chickpea prices, and prices remained stable in the markets of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. In Madhya Pradesh, the increased buying activity led to a rise of ₹50 to ₹100 per quintal in chickpea prices, bringing the prices in Katni to ₹6475-6525 per quintal and in Indore to ₹6400-6600 per quintal. In Rajasthan, chickpea prices saw an improvement of ₹25 to ₹50 per quintal. The price in Jaipur is now ₹6650-6700 per quintal, and in Bikaner, it stands at ₹6250-6300 per quintal. Due to stable buying activity, chickpea prices are gradually rising in other markets as well. However, the limited demand for chickpea dal and besan is preventing a significant rise in their prices.
