A Western disturbance seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies. It is very likely to cause light isolated to scattered rainfall and snowfall over Western Himalayan region from Wednesday for next 3 days. A fresh Western Disturbance in quick succession likely to affect Northwest India from 06th January, 2025. Fall in minimum temperatures by 4-6℃ likely over Uttar Pradesh during next 5 days and by 3-4℃ over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan during next 3 days & no significant change thereafter. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain unchanged over the next 24 hours across Central India, followed by a likely fall of 3-5°C during the subsequent five days. Similarly, no significant change is anticipated over East India in the next 24 hours, but a fall of 3-4°C is expected during the subsequent three days. In Maharashtra, minimum temperatures are likely to decrease by 2-4°C over the next five days. Cold wave conditions very likely in isolated pockets of Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana during next 2-3 days.
