Northeastern States to Witness Light to Moderate Rainfall.
A Western Disturbance is currently observed as a trough extending from the lower to the upper tropospheric levels, while an induced cyclonic circulation is situated over East Rajasthan and its neighboring areas in the lower tropospheric levels. Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, with similar conditions expected in Himachal Pradesh today. Additionally, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh today. Light to moderate rainfall at many places likely over Northeastern states during next 1-2 days. Another fresh Western Disturbance will affect the Western Himalayan Region later this week. Under its influence, Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall likely over Western Himalayan region and light rainfall over the plains of Northwest India during the same period. A fall in minimum temperatures by 4-5°C is likely over Jammu & Kashmir during the next 4-5 days, while no significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over northwest, central, and western India during the next 3-4 days. Dense fog conditions to prevail during night and early morning hours in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for next 2 days.
