A trough in the lower to upper tropospheric levels is influencing the region, coupled with high moisture incursion from the Arabian Sea. Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, are expected over the Western Himalayan region. Heavy rainfall and snowfall are likely at isolated places in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Additionally, Punjab and Haryana may experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in the coming days, while similar conditions are expected over Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan for the next two days. Moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, are very likely over Arunachal Pradesh for the next two days. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, and Meghalaya, accompanied by gusty winds (30-40 kmph). Under the influence of an active easterly wave Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected to continue over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala for the next 2-3 days. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact Northwest India starting Sunday. Hot and humid weather very likely to prevail over Goa and Coastal Karnataka for next 2 days.
