Wet Spell Expected Across Northern and Southern India.
A fresh Western Disturbance seen as a cyclonic circulation over West Iran & neighbourhood in lower to upper tropospheric levels. It is likely to move gradually eastwards and impact States of Western Himalayan region during next two days. Under its influence; Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, are expected over Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for the next 3-4 days. Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected over Punjab, Haryana, and West Uttar Pradesh after two days, continuing for the next 1-2 days. West Rajasthan is likely to experience similar conditions after three days, lasting for two days, while East Rajasthan may witness this weather pattern by the end of the week. A cyclonic circulation lies over Northeast Bangladesh in lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura for the next 3-4 days. Arunachal Pradesh may also experience heavy rainfall spells over the next 2-3 days. Under the influence of easterly wave activity, Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is likely over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry until tomorrow. While Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka are expected to experience similar conditions starting tomorrow for the next two days. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 3-4°C is expected over the plains of Northwest India over the next four days, followed by a drop of 2-3°C. Central India and Maharashtra are likely to see a temperature increase of 2-3°C, while East India may experience a rise of 3-5°C over the next five days. In Gujarat, maximum temperatures are expected to rise by 2-3°C over the next four days before falling by 2-3°C. North Peninsular India will witness a gradual temperature rise of 2-3°C over the next three days, with no significant change thereafter. Northeast India is expected to see no significant temperature change for the next two days, followed by a drop of 2-3°C over the subsequent three days. Hot and humid weather very likely to prevail over Goa and Coastal Karnataka for next two days.
