Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Over North India; Heatwave Conditions in Gujarat, Odisha, and Rajasthan.

The Western Disturbance seen as a cyclonic circulation over West Iran in lower to upper tropospheric levels. A cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Rajasthan & neighbourhood at lower tropospheric levels. Under the influence of these systems; Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, are expected over Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand during next two days. Meanwhile, light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely over Punjab for the next three days. Delhi, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan may experience similar weather conditions from tomorrow, lasting for the following two days, while East Uttar Pradesh is likely to see rainfall toward the end of the week. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and South Interior Karnataka due to easterly wave activity and a trough of low over the Southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast. Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Arunachal Pradesh for next three days. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura for the next 3–4 days, while wind speeds may increase to 40–50 kmph over Assam and Meghalaya for the next two days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over Northwest India for the next 48 hours, followed by a gradual drop of 2–3°C. Similarly, Gujarat is likely to see stable temperatures for the next 2 days, with a gradual fall of 2–4°C thereafter. Maximum temperatures over Central India and Maharashtra are expected to rise gradually by 2–3°C over the next 3–4 days, with no major change afterward. East India may experience a gradual increase of 2–4°C in maximum temperatures over the next 3 days, followed by stable conditions. Heat wave conditions in isolated pockets over Gujarat State, Odisha and Southwest Rajasthan during next two days. Hot and humid weather is expected over Konkan and Coastal Karnataka.
