Under its influence: Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph), are likely over Arunachal Pradesh during the next 5-7 days. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-50 kmph), is expected over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura for the next 3-4 days. A Western Disturbance is positioned as a cyclonic circulation over northern Haryana and adjoining northwest Uttar Pradesh at lower and middle tropospheric levels. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation persists over Haryana, with a trough extending from northeast Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha at lower tropospheric levels. Due to the trough and wind confluence over East India at lower tropospheric levels, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is likely over east-central India from 20th to 23rd March. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by about 2-4°C is likely over Northwest India during the next 4-5 days. Over Central India, no significant change in maximum temperatures is expected during the next 24 hours, followed by a fall of 2-4°C over the subsequent 3-4 days. Over East India, maximum temperatures are expected to remain stable for the next 48 hours, with a drop of 2-3°C over the following 3 days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is likely over the rest of India during the next 3-4 days. Heatwave conditions are likely over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, interior Odisha, Vidarbha, and north Telangana for the next 1-2 days. Similar conditions are expected over North Interior Karnataka after two days. Warm night conditions are likely over Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal. Isolated pockets of coastal Gujarat are likely to experience hot and humid conditions over the next 5 days, while similar conditions are expected over north interior Karnataka until tomorrow.
