A cyclonic circulation lies over south Tamil Nadu and a trough/wind discontinuity runs from Marathwada to south Tamil Nadu, across interior Karnataka in lower tropospheric levels. Under their influence, light rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall likely over south Tamil Nadu and south Kerala today.
