Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha are likely to experience light rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-60 kmph) over the next two days, with conditions expected to ease thereafter. A cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam and neighboring areas at lower tropospheric levels is influencing the weather conditions in the region. Arunachal Pradesh is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning over the next 3-4 days. Additionally, an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Rajasthan at lower tropospheric levels. Under the influence of these systems, light rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is expected over Punjab and Haryana today and over Uttar Pradesh in the next two days. No heat wave is expected over any part of the country during the next 4-5 days. Hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in isolated pockets over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and interior Karnataka today, and over the coastal areas of Gujarat after two days.
