Upcoming Western Disturbance Likely to Bring Showers to North India.
A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact the Western Himalayan Region starting tonight. As a result, light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is likely over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh for the next three days. Uttarakhand is expected to experience similar conditions beginning in two days and continuing for the following two days. A north-south trough extends from west Vidarbha to north Kerala in the lower tropospheric levels. Additionally, a wind confluence is observed over eastern and adjoining east peninsular India, influenced by an anticyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal at the same level. Under the impact of these systems: Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph), is expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and South Interior Karnataka over the next two days. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 3-5°C is expected over many parts of Northwest India over the next four days, with no significant change thereafter. In Central India and Interior Maharashtra, temperatures are likely to increase by 2-4°C over the next 4-5 days. Meanwhile, Gujarat is expected to see a rise of 2-3°C in maximum temperatures over the next three days, followed by a drop of around 2-3°C. Hot & humid weather conditions very likely to prevail in isolated pockets over coastal areas of Gujarat State for next two days.
