A Western Disturbance is present as a trough extending from the lower to upper tropospheric levels, while an upper-air cyclonic circulation persists over central Pakistan at lower tropospheric levels.Under their influence: Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected over Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand for the next two days, while Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are likely to experience these conditions until tomorrow. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh starting after two days and continuing for the following two days. A trough extends from south Chhattisgarh to north interior Tamil Nadu across interior Maharashtra at lower tropospheric levels. As a result: Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-50 kmph), is expected over Karnataka and Kerala until tomorrow. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C is expected over many parts of the plains in Northwest India over the next two days, followed by a drop of 3-5°C.In East India, maximum temperatures are likely to increase by 4-6°C. Central India is expected to witness a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next 2-3 days, with no significant change thereafter. In Gujarat, maximum temperatures are likely to fall by 2-3°C over the next two days, followed by a rise of 2-3°C. While Interior Maharashtra may see a rise of 2-3°C over the next 4-5 days. Heat wave conditions very likely over interior Odisha after three days and continue for next 3-4 days. Hot & humid weather conditions very likely to prevail in isolated pockets Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 3-4 days.
