Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected Across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Under the influence of trough and wind confluence over Central and adjoining parts of Maharashtra in lower tropospheric levels: Light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-60 kmph), is expected over Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, West Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh starting tomorrow for the next 2-3 days. East Madhya Pradesh is likely to experience similar conditions after two days, while Maharashtra and Gujarat will see these weather conditions over the next three days. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Coastal Karnataka, with South Interior Karnataka expected to experience similar conditions after two days. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over Nagaland & neighbourhood. Under its influence: Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (speed 40-50 kmph) likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged over the Western Himalayan region, Central, East, and Northeast India, as well as South Peninsular India and Maharashtra, for next 3-4 days. Northwest India is likely to witness a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 5-7°C during this period. In Gujarat and Bihar, temperatures are expected to increase gradually by 2-3°C during next two days. Hot and humid weather conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Assam and Tripura over the next 2-3 days, while Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala are expected to experience similar conditions today.
