Low-Pressure Area that formed yesterday over the central parts of the south Bay of Bengal now lies over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is expected to move northwestwards over the southwest Bay of Bengal during the next 12 hours and then gradually move nearly northwards over the westcentral Bay of Bengal in the following 48 hours. A trough runs from the above cyclonic circulation over southeast Bay of Bengal to south Tamil Nadu across southwest Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric levels. Another trough runs from East Bihar to North Telangana in lower tropospheric levels. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Jharkhand and another over east Assam in lower tropospheric level. Under the influence of these systems; Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph), is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka during the next two days, and over East and Northeast India during the next three days. Isolated hailstorms are expected over Assam, Meghalaya, and Bihar today, and over Jharkhand tomorrow. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Meghalaya today. A Western Disturbance is likely to bring light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand starting tomorrow and continuing for the next two days. Isolated rainfall is also expected over the plains of Northwest India thereafter. Heat wave conditions are likely in isolated to some pockets over Saurashtra & Kutch and East Rajasthan during the next two days, with severe heat wave conditions expected in isolated pockets over Saurashtra & Kutch today. Heat wave conditions are also likely to prevail over West Rajasthan during the next two days. Isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh and Delhi may experience heat wave conditions today, while Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and the Gujarat region are likely to be affected over the next three days. Heat wave conditions are also expected over West Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha until tomorrow. Additionally, warm night conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during the next two nights.
