The cyclonic circulation previously located over northwest Bihar and adjoining northeast Uttar Pradesh has now shifted to northeast Uttar Pradesh and the surrounding region. It extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level and is tilting southwestward with altitude. However, the system has now become less prominent. Northwest India Forecast: Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana during the next two days. Uttarakhand is likely to experience similar wet conditions over the coming 3 to 4 days, while Punjab is forecast to see comparable rainfall patterns starting tomorrow. Northeast India is expected to see light to moderate rainfall over the next five days, along with thunderstorms and lightning. Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya may experience heavy showers, particularly during this period. Light to moderate rainfall across Madhya Pradesh is expected to subside by tomorrow. In contrast, Bihar will likely experience continued showers over the next 3 to 4 days. Rainfall is forecast to begin in West Bengal and Odisha after two days, with precipitation expected to persist for two days thereafter. Chhattisgarh is likely to see the onset of rainfall after three days. West India Forecast: Light to moderate rainfall is expected to prevail across the region over the next 5 to 6 days. South Peninsular India Forecast: Light to moderate rainfall is expected across the region, with heavy spells likely over Tamil Nadu during the next two days. Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka are forecast to receive rain over the following 3 to 4 days. In addition, strong winds reaching speeds of 40–50 km/h are anticipated throughout South Peninsular India over the next five days.
