The Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Maha' lay centered over eastcentral Arabian Sea.It is likely to move west-northwestwards till 4th November and recurve eastnortheastwards towards south Gujarat coast thereafter. It is likely to intensify into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm over eastcentral Arabian sea during the next 48 hours. The Depression over westcentral Arabian Sea moved west-southwestwards and lay centred over westcentral Arabian Sea. Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Gulf of Thailand & neighbourhood, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over north Andaman Sea on 03rd November.
Under the influence of above weather system Light to moderate rain is likely over many places of Gujrat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Scattered light rain are possible over Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, South Odisha, and isolated place of Uttarakhand , Manipur, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh.Drain out the excess water from the standing crop like rice, cotton, red gram , sugarcane, finger millet and groundnut. Due to rains if the rice crop is lodged, go for lifting and tying of three to four hills and apply Urea @25 kg and MOP @ 10 kg/ acre as booster dose. To control bacterial leaf blight in rice, spray Copper oxychloride (COC) @ 30 g + Streptocycline @ 3 g per 10 litres of water on a non-rainy day.
