‘BULBUL’ CYCLONE OVER BAY OF BENGAL LIKELY TO INTENSIFY INTO SEVERE CYCLONIC STORM

The Cyclonic Storm 'Maha' weakened into a Deep Depression, and lay centered over east central & adjoining northeast Arabian Sea, about 200 km south-southwest of Porbandar (Gujarat). It is likely to move east-northeastwards, weaken into a Depression over northeast & adjoining east central Arabian Sea off south Gujarat coast during next 12 hours. Under present weather condition in Gujarat heavy infestation of jassids & white fly is observed in cotton, if required, spray neem seed oil 50 ml with diafenthiuron 50 %wp@16 gm / 10 lit of water. Another one Cyclonic Storm ‘Bulbul’ over east central Bay of Bengal, about 730 km south-southeast of Paradip (Odisha), It is likely to intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm during next 24 hours. It is likely to move north-northwestwards towards West Bengal and Bangladesh coasts. In Gangetic West Bengal, undertake sowing of of lentil, gram, field pea, khesari, arhar etc after harvesting of pre kharif and kharif rice.
