Chana sowing is majorly lagging in MP and Maharashtra by 61% and 81% respectively due to post monsoon rainfall causing delay in kharif harvesting. Overall, Chana has been sown in 32.483 lakh hectares lagging behind by 13.19% compared to previous year.
