Taiwan buys 95,750 tonnes of US wheat.

Taiwan Flour Millers' Association purchased 95,750 tonnes of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States in a tender which closed on 15 Nov. The wheat was bought in two consignments comprising various wheat types for shipment from the US Pacific Northwest coast in January and February 2020. The first consignment for shipment Jan. 6-20 involved 25,800 tonnes of US dark northern spring wheat of 14.5% protein content bought at $281.76 a tonne FOB US Pacific Northwest coast. The seller was United Grain Corporation. The first consignment involved 15,800 tonnes of hard red winter wheat of 12.5% protein content bought from trading house ADM at $239.17 a tonne FOB. Some 5,350 tonnes of soft white wheat with 9% protein was also bought from United Grain Corporation at $231.46 a tonne FOB.
