Light rain is expected to occur in many parts of the country and temperature may fall by 2-3°C in the coming days.

Depression has formed over central and adjoining parts of the north Andaman sea. It may intensify further into a deep depression and will move towards the Myanmar coast. A cyclonic circulation is over the south-west Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Sri Lanka coast. A cyclonic circulation is over South Assam at a lower level. A North South trough is extending from Chhattisgarh to Tamil Nadu across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers will continue over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells may occur over East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain to continue over the rest of North East India. Light rain with one or two moderate spells is possible over Kerala and interior Tamil Nadu. Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Odisha and isolated pocket Jharkhand may receive light rain with one or two moderate spells. Heatwave conditions are expected to occur over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, isolated pockets of Odisha, Telangana, Kutch and Gangetic West Bengal. No significant change in maximum temperatures over most parts of East India during next 24 hours and fall by 2-3°C thereafter for subsequent 3-4 days.
