Light Rain and Thunderstorms are expected to occur in many parts of India with heatwave conditions likely to occur in coming days.
A Western Disturbance is seen in Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining area. There is an induced cyclonic circulation in northwest Rajasthan. A trough is extending over Haryana and Delhi due to cyclonic circulation in West Uttar Pradesh. There is a cyclone going on in Bangladesh. The west is an anti-cyclone above the central Arabian Sea. The north-south trough extends from south Kerala to central Maharashtra to coastal and north interior Karnataka. Rainfall and thunderstorm are expected in many parts of the Western Himalayas with upper snowfall during the next 24 hours. Hail conditions may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There may be thunderstorms, dust storms and rain in parts of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan as well as parts of the northwest. Thunderstorms may occur in Delhi. Wind speeds in the northern plains can increase from 30 to 40 kilometers per hour during a dusty thunderstorm. Light rains may occur over Kerala, Coastal parts of Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Heatwave may occur in Rajasthan and parts of Vidarbha.
