Monsoon to become active in East India, North and North West India to receive scattered light to moderate rainfall
The low-pressure area over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Southeast Uttar Pradesh has weakened and now cyclonic circulation is seen over same area up to 4.5 Kms above mean sea level. Monsoon trough is passing through Ganganagar, Narnaul, Agra, Varanasi, Gaya, Malda, north eastwards Arunachal Pradesh. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells may occur over West Bengal, east Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, parts of Bihar and east UP. Light to moderate with few intense spells may occur over North East India, parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Uttarakhand. Scattered light to moderate rain over rest Western Himalayas, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, rest Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh and rest MP. Light rain over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and South Gujarat.
