Western end of axis of monsoon trough is running close to the foothills of Himalayas and Eastern and is at its normal position. A cyclonic circulation is over West Central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal near North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coast it is extending up to 7.6 Kms above mean sea level. Low pressure area is expected to develop over northwest and adjoining West of Central Bay of Bengal by today evening on August 16. North south traffic is extending from Jharkhand to north coast of Andhra Pradesh. Western disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over North Central part of Pakistan. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, parts of Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, parts of Chhattisgarh, north Telangana, Vidarbha, Marathwada and East Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain with isolated intense spells may occur over Bihar and Jharkhand. Light to moderate rain is possible over Uttar Pradesh, parts of Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Light rain is expected over western Himalayas, western and Southern parts of Madhya Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and South Gujarat.
