Light rain may occur over Punjab & Delhi, moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over Chhattisgarh, MP, Rajasthan, Bihar and Haryana

The depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast has intensified into a deep depression and was near latitude 20.5 degree north and longitude 86.9 east at 5:30 today. It is expected to move in West Northwest direction across Odisha and Chhattisgarh towards Madhya Pradesh during next 48 hours. And may weaken into a depression by tomorrow. The low-pressure area is now over South Gujarat region and associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to 5.8 Km above mean sea level tilting Southwest wards with height. Monsoon trough is passing through center of low-pressure area over South Gujarat, Khandwa, Balaghat, Sambalpur and center of deep depression over Odisha coast. A trough is extending from the cyclonic circulation associated with low pressure area over Gujarat to the cyclonic circulation associated with deep depression over Odisha coast across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy with few very heavy spells are possible over Odisha and parts of East Gujarat. Light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, southeast Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, isolated pockets Vidarbha and parts of Konkan and Goa. Light to moderate rain may occur over West Bengal, parts of Jharkhand, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, J&K, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Marathwada, east Rajasthan and parts of Uttar Pradesh. Light rain may occur over Punjab, Delhi, northeast India, Sikkim parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and isolated pockets of Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
