Urad and Moong report

The pressure of arrival of new urad has started increasing in Maharashtra-Karnataka. If the weather is clear, the arrival will start happening at a faster pace. The harvest is expected to be full in both the states. However, in some quantities the crop may be tainted. Urad dal and Mogar are currently not the same as the consumer. Therefore, there has been a fall in the prices of urad from 200 to 250 rupees in 2-3 days.

There is continuous import from Burma in Chennai-Mumbai. Imported goods have also started going to the godowns due to lack of subscription. Urad 6750 in Chennai was quoted at Rs 6950 in Mumbai. In Indore mandi, light-weight goods come in large quantities, in which the demand for those who make better quality pulses is less. The arrival of moong has reduced in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

There is no good news coming about the crop of Rajasthan. The rain in the last days has only damaged the moong crop in Rajasthan. To take stock of moong, at present keep an eye on the price kept in mind. It has rained yesterday in many pulse producing states of the country.
