Light to moderate rain over Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, MP, Rajasthan, UP and Bihar; light rain is possible over rest in Northeast India

The cyclone Gulab has weakened into a deep depression over South Chhattisgarh and adjoining area. Deep depression will move in westerly direction and will get weekend into a low-pressure area over Maharashtra.

Monsoon trough is passing through Jaisalmer, Kota, Sagar, center of deep depression and then eastwards to East Central Bay of Bengal. Cyclonic circulation is over east Central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells may occur over Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to moderate rain is possible over Meghalaya, Sikkim, West Bengal, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, parts of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Light rain is possible over rest in Northeast India, Tamil Nadu and Jammu and Kashmir.

Squally weather likely over the Southwest & Westcentral Arabian Sea, Kerala coast, Lakshadweep area Gulf of mannar & Comorin area. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
