Light to moderate rain with few heavy spells over Maharashtra, Gujarat, parts of Karnataka, Kerala, isolated pockets of Andhra Pradesh, costal Odisha and West Bengal

The depression over Telangana and adjoining Marathwada and Vidarbha has weakened into well marked low pressure area and now is over Marathwada and adjoining parts of Maharashtra. Monsoon trough is passing through Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Indore, center of well-marked low pressure area, Jagdalpur, Kalingapatnam and east south eastwards to East Central Bay of Bengal.

Cyclonic circulation is over Northeast Arabian Sea. An east west trough is extending from North Konkan and Goa to cyclonic circulation associated with the well-marked low-pressure area over Marathwada and adjoining parts of Vidarbha.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over Maharashtra, south Gujarat, parts of coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, isolated pockets of Andhra Pradesh, costal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. Scattered light to moderate rain may occur over Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, northeast India, Sikkim, for kids of Bihar, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain is possible over Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, western part of Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema.

Squally weather likely over the Southwest & West central Arabian Sea, Kerala coast, Lakshadweep area Gulf of mannar & Comorin area. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
