Well-marked low-pressure area over Gujarat has intensified into a depression over North East Arabian sea and adjoining Kutch. It is expected to intensify further into a deep depression by today evening and in subsequent 24 hours it made concentrate into a cyclone Shaheen. Will move in West Northwest direction close to Pakistan and Makran coast. Subsequently it will move away from Indian mainland.

Low pressure area is over Jharkhand and associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to mid tropospheric levels. A trough is extending from cyclonic circulation associated with depression over Northeast Arabian Sea to the cyclonic circulation associated with low pressure area over Jharkhand across Madhya Pradesh.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over West Bengal, Bihar, parts of Jharkhand, isolated pockets of Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Light to moderate rain may occur over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha, interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Lakshadweep and Kerala. Light rain is possible over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and isolated pockets of Rajasthan.

Squally weather likely over the Southwest & West central Arabian Sea, Kerala coast, Lakshadweep area Gulf of mannar & Comorin area. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
