Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells may occur over Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka; moderate rain over Kerala, parts of Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra

A low-pressure area is over East Central and adjoining Southeast Arabian Sea. It is expected to become well marked by today evening and may intensify into a depression in subsequent 24 hours. It is expected to move in West Northwest direction away from Indian coast. Associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to 5.8 Km above mean sea level.

A trough from the cyclonic circulation associated with low pressure area is extending up to Northeast Arabian Sea off South Gujarat coast. A cyclonic circulation is over West Central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh Coast extending up to 5.8 km above sea level. Another cyclonic circulation is over Southeast Bay of Bengal.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with a few heavy to very heavy spells are possible for over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu coast. Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells may occur over remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Light to moderate rain is possible over coastal Karnataka, Kerala, parts of Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Lakshadweep. Moderate to strong winds blowing from north easterly direction a May improve the Delhi Pollution to some extent.
