Conditions are becoming favourable for the advance of Monsoon over Goa, south Maharashtra, parts of Karnataka, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, some parts of South Andhra Pradesh and some more parts of West Central and northwest Bay of Bengal by today evening. A Cyclonic circulation is central Pakistan and adjoining areas. A trough is extending from this cyclonic circulation to Bangladesh across foothills of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, East Bihar, and Gangetic West Bengal. Another trough is extending from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to interior Odisha, and it is extending up to 5.8 Km above mean sea level. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over Sikkim, Northeast India, parts of Coastal Karnataka and isolated pockets of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan and Goa and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
