Wheat has been exported to 72 lakh metric tonnes in the last financial year and 47 lakh metric tonnes in the current financial year so far. After the arrival of wheat crop in UP, Haryana, Punjab, the arrival in the mandis has remained very less, as the productivity has decreased. With the war going on in Ukraine, Russia, exporters have also loaded the deals quickly. After that, due to the ban on exports, a lot of goods are stuck in godowns near ports and railway stations. The government also could not get wheat up to the estimated target. Due to the shortage of goods in the goods markets, there has been a possibility of increase again.
