IMD issued a red signal for extremely heavy rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. While the red alert has been in effect for two days in eastern UP, the people of Uttarakhand have only had the same warning in effect for one day. The weather department also issued a day-long orange warning for Delhi and Haryana as well as a 3-day orange alert for Himachal Pradesh. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, parts of southwest Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and at one or two places over Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over South Gujarat, Maharashtra coast, parts of Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at one or two place over sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana and South Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rain is possible over foothills of Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep, south Madhya Pradesh Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Light rain is possible over Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Light to very light rain is possible over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and western parts of Uttar Pradesh. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells are possible over Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Lakshadweep, Telangana, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible for over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, parts of coastal Karnataka, parts of Gujarat, Interior Maharashtra, south Madhya Pradesh and at one or two places over Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andaman and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Uttarakhand.
