A Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining area. Under its influence, a low-pressure area may develop over the Odisha coast. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain to continue for the next 5 days in the southern state of Chennai and Tamil Nadu. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karaikal and Mahe for the next five days. In Maharashtra, there is a possibility of rain from 4 to 7 July. During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are possible over western parts of Madhya Pradesh, parts of Southwest Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, and parts of north Kerala.
