Light to moderate rain with one or two intense spells may occur over south interior Karnataka, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, Manipur and Mizoram

The weather is likely to remain dry in the north of the sub-continent, while the southern half will experience wet weather. Meanwhile, heavy downpours have been forecast over north-eastern Andhra Pradesh and the mouth of the Ganga after Sunday evening. Southwest monsoon may withdraw from some more parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, interior Maharashtra, Jharkhand, interior Odisha and the entire West Bengal during the last 24 hours. During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is possible over Kerala. There are chances of waterlogging over parts of Kerala due to heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, south interior Karnataka, hills of interior Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.

A trough is extending from the cyclonic circulation over Southeast Arabian Sea to Southwest Bay of Bengal across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Scattered light to moderate rain is possible over Nagaland, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu and Vidarbha. Light rain may occur over south-east Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and hills of Western Himalayas. Dry weather conditions are expected to prevail over most parts of northwest and central India. Both day-time and night-time temperatures are forecast to be relatively higher than usual over much of the Trans-Himalayan and western Himalayan region, at least until the end of this month.
