Heavy rainfall may lash some areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe A cyclonic circulation (CC) over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka coast is likely to stagnate for the next several days. Meanwhile, a trough runs above the CC to the southeast of the Arabian Sea off the Kerala coast. Under the influence of the above systems, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms/lightning is on the cards over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe from November 2 to November 6. Similar conditions are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema on Wednesday, November 2. Additionally, a fresh Western Disturbance will likely affect the Western Himalayan region from Friday. This may result in isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall or snowfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab during this week. A trough is extending from above cyclonic circulation to southeast Arabian Sea across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
