Heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Gangetic West Bengal, over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and Bihar

A trough/wind discontinuity runs from east Vidarbha to north coastal Karnataka in lower tropospheric levels. Under the influence of these systems, the following weather is expected across India. Isolated light rainfall is likely over West Rajasthan. Farmers are advised to harvest the matured wheat crop. Keep the crop sun drying in field and then after threshing should be done. Light/moderate isolated rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning may lash Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during this period. Farmers are advised to do the harvesting of onion, matured grapes and pomegranate early as possible and keep the harvested crops in a safer place.

Meanwhile, some parts of Delhi-NCR, Northeast India, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala-Mahe and Madhya Pradesh can expect above-normal temperatures starting Saturday. In Madhya Pradesh, at this time, the gram crop is in the stage of ripening hence farmers are advised to keep the harvested lentil in a safe place and dry them for threshing.
